On Saturday, February 6, the Somme chapter of the AVH is hosting an event focused on innovation. The goal is to explore solutions that make it easier for people with visual impairments to get around.
As part of Innovation Day, organized by the Valentin Haüy Association’s Somme chapter, we are spotlighting Sonarvision, a startup that is transforming mobility for people with visual impairments. The solution is a GPS device capable of providing directions with an accuracy of up to one meter.
Designed for complex urban environments, the app guides users on every journey, makes crossing streets safer, and helps them find their way, allowing them to go about their daily lives with greater peace of mind. Independence, confidence, and freedom are at the heart of Sonarvision’s approach.
Through an accessible mobile app, users receive clear, context-sensitive voice guidance tailored to their actual needs in the field.
