Following the success of its first edition in June 2025, Campus Louis Braille is hosting another Demo Day, with the theme: “Innovation for a more accessible world.” This event will take place on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, starting at 9 a.m., in Paris’s 7th arrondissement. Now a highly anticipated event in the inclusive innovation ecosystem, this year’s edition will highlight the challenges of universal design and international outreach.
The 2026 edition will offer visitors a hands-on experience of inclusive innovation:
- Interactive booths will allow visitors to discover and try out the solutions developed by the participating startups
- Themed pitches during which startups will present their innovations across four themes: mobility, culture, education, and sports
- Expert presentations will explore the challenges of universal design, both in France and abroad
The program:
- At 9:30 a.m.: Opening remarks by Camille Gaillard-Minier, Minister Delegate for Autonomy and People with Disabilities.
- 9:45–10:45 a.m.: Start-up pitches.
- Starting at 11 a.m.: Presentation of the Louis Braille Campus by Laurène Messeca, Vice President, and Thibaut de Martimprey, Director.
- At 11:25 a.m.: Roundtable on universal design : Why and how should all aspects of disability be incorporated into innovations?, featuring: Franck Duthil, President of the La Handitech Association, Emmanuel Perret, Executive Director of the French Federation for Accessibility, Manuel Pereira, Head of the Digital Accessibility Division at the Valentin Haüy Association, Brice Metadier, Acceptance Specialist at Cartes Bancaires, and Laurent Dordain, HR Project Manager at Engie.
- At 11:55 a.m.: International Roundtable: A Look at the Challenges with Key International Stakeholders, featuring Sandy Lacey, Executive Director of the Perkins Innovation Center, Klaus Höckner, President of the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Austria and Ambassador for the ZeroProject, Irene Long, Head of Global Operations and Business Innovation at Rokid AI, and Paulo Nucci, Head of Europe at Beplay.
- At 12:30 p.m.: Signing of the agreement to establish the European Center for Universal Design and remarks by the sponsors of the Louis Braille Campus.
