Innovation Day program

On Friday November 14, 2025, Campus Louis Braille will bring together the entire disability and innovation ecosystem for a day of reflection and projection on the impact of technology, research and universal design on the daily lives of visually impaired people, at its annual international "Innovation Day" event.

One year after its inauguration, the campus is offering an open, collective and forward-looking highlight, bringing together partners, start-ups, researchers and institutions to think about innovation as a lever for inclusion and autonomy.

A forward-looking corporate morning

The morning session, moderated by Anthony Drevet, with Laetitia Bernard, General Secretary and Laurène Messeca, Vice-Chairwoman, will be devoted to taking stock of the Campus Louis Braille's first year of existence, and to presenting three projects for the future: the first, in partnership with Dassault Systèmes, the second imagined with the Institut de la Vision, and a worldwide initiative with the participation of the President of the World Blind Union.

These presentations will be followed by the results of the "Imagine the life of a visually impaired person in 2040" workshop, carried out in partnership with the magazine Sciences et Avenire and France 5.

Valérie Pécresse, President of the Ile-de-France Region, will be on hand to support the campus, a "major innovation hub" and partner of the Region.

All round tables will be subtitled and translated live to ensure full accessibility.

AGEFIPH, Fondation Malakoff Humanis Handicap, Accenture and Amazon Web Services, as the day's main sponsors, will be supporting discussions at the crossroads of social, digital and responsibility issues.

The aim of the morning was to demonstrate that technological innovation only makes sense if it creates a real, measurable and shared impact.

A musical and convivial break

At mid-day, visually impaired jazz pianist Yakir Arbib will give a live concert in the heart of the campus.
A foodtruck will be set up on site for a convivial moment of exchange between participants.

From 2pm, the campus will be transformed into an all-inclusive innovation village, with guided tours of the campus every 15 to 20 minutes.

Program: discover the convention center at Voir Ensemble headquarters, the campus club at apiDV headquarters, the showroom at Association Valentin Haüy and the startup studio at Institutnational des Jeunes Aveugles.

LeForum Innovations: a participatory afternoon

The afternoon will be a participative one, with the Innovations Forum, divided between the Hélène-Keller garden and the campus's Salle des fêtes Sèvres, where more than 20 stands will welcome start-ups, researchers and technology partners.

In addition, five thematic workshops will explore the major challenges of inclusive innovation:

- Artificial intelligence and daily life for the visually impaired

- Accessibility and universal design

- Access to higher education

- Research and innovation, in partnership with CEA and UPEC

- Digitization of Valentin Haüy's heritage collection, in partnership with the Sorbonne

The aim of the afternoon was to bring together technology, research and practical applications to measure the real impact of innovation on inclusion.

"The Louis Braille Campus project is a collective one, and it's this dynamic that makes it unique and so useful in helping people find their way among all the existing solutions" - Laetitia Bernard, General Secretary of Campus Braille.

A committed youth

At the closing ceremony, the campus will name a dozen ambassadors. These young researchers, entrepreneurs and students under the age of 30 will embody the new generation of the Louis Braille Campus: those who are taking on tomorrow's challenges and affirming that collective impact begins with everyone's participation.

The day will end around 5pm.

"I lost my sight very recently, at the age of 36, and the startups and partners on the campus provide concrete solutions to help me on a daily basis."- LaurèneMesseca, Vice-President of Campus Braille
