Innovation Day Program

On Friday, November 14, 2025, the Louis Braille Campus will bring together the entire disability and innovation ecosystem for a day of reflection and planning dedicated to the impact of technology, research, and universal design on the daily lives of people with visual impairments, as part of its annual, internationally renowned “Innovation Day” event.

One year after its inauguration, the campus is hosting a major event that is open to the public, collaborative, and forward-looking, bringing together partners, startups, researchers, and institutions to explore innovation as a driver of inclusion and self-reliance.

 

An institutional morning focused on the future

The morning session, hosted by Anthony Drevet, will be dedicated to reflection and discussion, featuring numerous guests and partners.

Lectures - André Marchal Hall

  • 9:30–10:00 a.m.:
    Opening Plenary Session
    Featuring: Xavier Musca, President of Campus Louis Braille, and Charlotte Parmentier-Lecocq, Minister Delegate for Autonomy and People with Disabilities.

    A food truck will be on site to provide a relaxed atmosphere for participants to mingle.

Afternoon: Immersion and Inclusive Innovation

Starting at 2 p.m., the campus will transform into a village of inclusive innovation, with guided tours of the site every 15 to 20 minutes:
. Visitors can explore the convention center at Voir Ensemble’s headquarters, the campus club atapiDV’s headquarters, theAssociation Valentin Haüy’s showroom, and the startup studio atthe National Institute for Young Blind People.

Visitors will also be able to participate in themed workshops and discover innovative solutions at the Innovation Forum.

:The Innovation Forum

The afternoon will feature interactive activities, with the Innovations Forum taking place in both the Hélène Keller Garden and the Sèvres event hall on campus, where more than 20 booths will host startups, researchers, and technology partners.

  • Artha France: a mini camera mounted on glasses connected to a haptic belt that converts the environment into subtle tactile pressures

  • Ezymob – Connect: an all-in-one mobile app designed to make getting around easier and make the city more inclusive
  • Feelobject: Tactile and Voice-Guided Maps to Help You Understand a Place and Navigate It Independently
  • GiveVision: a headset that uses residual vision to enhance the experience of sporting and cultural events
  • GoSense: a solution that enhances the white cane and detects obstacles
  • Handipulse: a device that makes braille documents accessible via a touch-sensitive surface and interchangeable media
  • SonarVision: ultra-precise guidance down to the meter thanks to geolocation
  • Touch2see: a touchscreen tablet with built-in audio description for watching live sports events
  • Handi Exceller: a fun and customizable solution for self-paced Braille learning
  • IEyes – ICane: White Cane Case (with built-in warning LED, horn, and alarm)
  • Les Yeux Dits: an app that centralizes audio descriptions and automatically syncs them with movies
  • Streetnav: a real-time navigation app that uses audio prompts for indoor and urban navigation

A committed youth

To wrap things up, the campus will appoint about ten ambassadors: young researchers, entrepreneurs, or students under the age of 30 who will represent the new generation of the Louis Braille Campus.

About the Louis Braille Campus

Opened in December 2024 in Paris, the Louis Braille Campus brings together government agencies, businesses, researchers, and nonprofit organizations to develop innovative solutions for the future in the field of visual impairment.

The event at the Louis Braille Campus is part of the bicentennial celebration of Braille, which will be marked through the national "Braille Revolution" program from November 13 to 15, 2025.

The Louis Braille Campus is a hub for education, experimentation, and research. It embodies an open ecosystem where technology, culture, and inclusion come together to shape the solutions of tomorrow.
